Teresa Inchingolo received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Medical Systems Engineering from Polytechnic University of Bari, in 2023 and 2025, respectively. Her master thesis developed an intelligent system for automatic assessment of suture quality in robotic surgery video streams. The work was supervised by Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua, Prof. Antonio Brunetti, Eng. Elena Sibilano and Dr. Michele Battaglia.
Since October 2025, she has been serving as a second-level research technologist within the PNRR Complementary D34H project. Her research focuses on specific topics of the scientific-disciplinary sector IBIO-01/A – Bioengineering, including the development and validation of deep learning models for diagnostic image processing, with particular attention to the segmentation, detection, and classification of tumor lesions, the development and validation of deep learning models for biosignals processing, and the integration of intelligent systems into clinical workflows to support early diagnosis.
