Valeriana Mancazzo received the B.Sc. degree and the M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Medical Systems Engineering in 2021 and 2023, respectively, from Polytechnic of Bari. Her master’s thesis focused on the development of a registration algorithm for implementing a cardiovascular navigation system, based on electromagnetic tracking, specifically tailored for the transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedure. The work was supervised by Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua, Prof. Domenico Buongiorno, Prof. Antonio Brunetti and Eng. Roberta Epifania from Masmec S.p.A.
Since November 2023, she is a Ph.D. Student in Autonomous Systems at the Industrial Informatics Laboratory, DEI, Polytechnic University of Bari. Her research is focused on the development of Digital Twins in the context of Digital Driven Diagnostics, prognostics and therapeutics for sustainable Health care (D34H) project.
